Self-governing robots are still in development, but the legislative framework for such “miracle” cars is already being prepared. Google has already managed to prepare two bills and actively promotes them in the legislative assembly of one of the most liberal states of America – Nevada. The first promoted bill from Google is additions to the Federal Law on electric cars and hybrids and introduces several points to it, which is based on permission to future robocars to use public roads. The second bill is a logical continuation of the first and removes many prohibitions from users of such a miracle of cars (for example, a set of SMS messages during traffic).
Despite the rather active promotion of bills of cars with autopilot, the practical application of these types of vehicles will not come soon.
Meanwhile, the launch of self -governing cars will produce a real revolution in the world! And the significance of this revolution will be more grandiose more than a person’s transition from horse to car. The usual division into drivers and passengers will disappear, everyone will become passengers and will only set the route, and the rest of the time only enjoy the trip. It will require rewriting the entire arch, both road rules and legislative bases! And to drive a car, neither a driver’s license, nor a medical certificate, or even a drunken state will now be an obstacle … In fact, a 10-year-old child will be able to manage a robocar!
Of course, the new robo cars will also have their own shortcomings, such as hacker attacks, and complex electronics will probably not be supplied to easy repairs, passengers gathered on vacation on such a miracle of automotive industry! But still, the tendency to successful automation of mankind comes to us with seven -mile steps, allowing us to hope that already in our time driving schools and traffic police will go into the distant past, as the carriage sheds and workshops for the repair of clamps have gone back.
